Information About CBD Oil For Pets

Information in regards to the effect of CBD oil on pets is somewhat limited because of the lack of research, and all the misinformation on the internet isn’t helping matters. And of course, pets is a pretty general term since there are plenty of types out there. For the sake of this article we’ll be looking at the most common pets, dogs and cats, and talk about how CBD oil affects them. But before we get into it, there is something important you need to note. You can find out what you have to do to become a CBD patient here

As a CBD patient, you have to fill out an application and submit it to the health insurance company. The health insurance company will check your application and give you an answer after five weeks. If you say yes, you will receive your flowers once a month on prescription, paid for by the health insurance company.

A lot of people believe that giving their pet CBD oil will trigger psychoactive effects, but this isn’t the case. The reason that CBD oil has no psychoactive effects is that it contains little to no THC. THC is responsible for psychoactive effects in both people and dogs, but is a totally different extract from the CBD plant. It is the THC that gives marijuana the ability to make you “high”, but CBD is generally extracted from hemp and not marijuana. They are two different versions of the CBD plant.

The benefits that CBD has to offer dogs haven’t been studied yet, so there is limited information on the topic. What we do know is the cannabinoids interact with certain receptors located in the central and peripheral nervous systems, and this results in a healthy balance in the body of a dog. And judging from how it affects humans, as well as looking at some specific cases we can also tell that CBD oil may be able to reduce pain in dogs much the same way it does in humans, and furthermore it is being studied as a possible treatment for epilepsy in dogs. Some symptoms that are possible might be drowsiness, a lowered blood pressure, and a dry mouth. Not much research has been done on the symptoms in pets but these things are considered possible based on how CBD oil can affect humans.

As little information is available for dogs, even less research has been done about the effects of CBD in cats. You can expect some similarities between dogs and cats reactions to things though, and this means that cats will probably receive the same benefits and have the same possible symptoms as dogs would. And there have been positive reports of cats taking CBD, it seems to be safe for them with only the occasional drowsiness or digestive issues that were swiftly resolved when the dose was lowered.

As far as doses go, with both dogs and cats you should start with a small one and adjust accordingly because too much of anything can be toxic to them. And also make sure that you find high quality cbd oil because a lot of the low quality products could have additives that are harmful to pets, especially cats because they’re more sensitive.
